Donagh McDonnell
Veterinary Surgeon
Donagh, originally from Co Meath, qualified from UCD in 1992. He has vast experience in equine medicine, ultrasound scanning and lameness investigation, along with an interest in bovine medicine & surgery.
Donagh has a big interest in sport especially rugby and gaelic football and in recent years horse racing. Every day his dog Mac accompanies him while on duty.
Brian Flynn
Veterinary Surgeon
Brian a proud Roscommon man, graduated from UCD in 1997. He has a keen interest in companion animals having completed a certificate in small animal medicine surgery. He also has an interest in bovine and ovine medicine and in particular BVD investigation and flock health.
Brian coaches underage football and soccer teams and participates in triathlons in his spare time. His family has a golden retriever Daisy who is very energetic.
Harry Ferguson
Veterinary Surgeon
Harry, a Longford native, graduated from UCD in 2001. His main interest is in farm animal medicine and surgery. He spends a lot of his time working on herd and flock health plans and is particularly involved with disease prevention and herd fertility programmes.
When off duty Harry breeds pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle and loves showing (and selling) his animals.
Roisin McCormack
Veterinary Surgeon
Roisin hails from Birr Co. Offaly and graduated from UCD in 2017. Roisin has developed an interest in both small and large animal medicine and also has a keen interest in ultrasonography and soft tissue surgery.
Roisin helps on the family farm and also has a keen interest in national hunt racing.
Irene McKiernan
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Irene graduated from AIT in 2014 and joined the practice in the same year. She is involved in both farm and companion animal nursing and is keenly interested in wound management and also runs weight management clinics.
Irene manages the family farm and was crowned Lady Farmer of the Year in 2016.
Siobhan Mollaghan
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Siobhan graduated from AIT in 2017. Siobhan has a keen interest in the nutrition of our companion animals and also designs parasite control schedules for your pet. She runs the grooming parlour at the clinic.
Siobhan enjoys farming and social dancing.
Cynthia Geelan
Administration/TB Testing
Cynthia assists with both farm and companion animal queries and also manages the TB testing administration. She assists on the family farm and is very proud of their Hereford cattle.
Cynthia has a long association with the Co. Longford Agriculture Show and Longford Ploughing Association.
Anne Halligan
Administration/ Accounts
Anne is a long established member of staff in the practice. She is a key member ensuring that everything in the accounts department is in order and clients queries are dealt with.
Anne loves to travel and also enjoys walking and gardening.
Una Mulligan
Manager
Una is the longest serving member of staff at the practice. She coordinates the vets and nurses to ensure all work and appointments are taken care of.
Living on a farm she understands the needs of the farming community. Una can be spotted on many sidelines supporting her kids in sport.
